Alyson
was born in Washington but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia.
Her parents were photographers and she loved to pose for
their camera. She began her acting career at the age of
four, featuring in commercials sponsoring such companies
as McDonald's, Six Flags, and Oreos. Her parents were
there to encourage her.
At the tender
age of eleven her mother decided a move to California
would be good for Alyson's career. At fourteen she receieved
her first really big break, a part as Dan Akroyd's daughter
in My Stepmother is an Alien. Curiously enough, her
Buffy onscreen love interest Seth Green played opposite
her in this film.
Alyson returned
to acting after finishing school and taking a break
from films. But she did the hugely successful Buffy
the Vampire Slayer which got her movie roles in Dead
Man on Campus and American Pie.
Alyson is nothing like the characters she usually plays.
She's considered more sophisticated and if you look
at some of her photo spreads she dresses much "trendier"
than her alter-ego Willow.

She
also has a tattoo of tribal dolphins on her ankle, and
a japanese kanji, for luck and happiness, on her back,
both of which she hides on Buffy. Currently Alyson resides
in California still and has "quite a little farm"
of three dogs, two cats and two mice.
Alyson also has passion for beanie babies, a venture furthured
by both fans and friends alike. She is also well known
for her fan contact, through the internet and attending
charties and conventions. Go Girl!
