Moving
to Los Angeles at the age of two, Betty got her start
in television in the 1950s, performing in a variety of
comedic sketch acts. She got her first major role in the
sitcom “Life with Elizabeth” in 1953, which
was a spin-off of a sketch she performed earlier in her
career. It would turn out that she would end up coming
out of the same high school as same High School as Angelina
Jolie, Michael Klesic, Nicolas Cage, Lenny Kravitz, David
Schwimmer, Jonathan Silverman and Crispin Glover.
In 1954 Betty headlined her own variety show, joining
forces with co-star Bill Williams. Getting frustrated
with bit parts Betty eventually worked on such TV game
shows as Password and Hollywood Squares.
