"I
can be pretty nasty. Not 'mean' nasty, but nasty
by your parents' standards." |

Her
father is the famous actor Peter Fonda and her mother
is Susan Fonda. She is named after
Bridget Hayward and she also has one other sibling, a
brother named Justin. Her grandfather
is Henry Fonda and her aunt is Jane Fonda so you can see
that acting is in her blood. Even
though most of her family came from an acting background
she resented that fact. Part of it
had to do with the messy divorce her parents had and that
her mother, brother and her had
nothing to do with the Fonda family in the seventies.
Because of
this she did not take advice from her acting relatives
and continued to develop
the craft on her own accord. She studied at the Lee
Strasberg Theatre institute at the
University of New York. She suffered from stage fright
for over two years when she began
acting but as she matured and found her own way in life
that changed. Part of that fright had
to do with her name. People new her as the Granddaughter
of the famous Jane Fonda and resented
her for it. And this did not help her at first.

In
the late eighties she finished school and no longer cared
about what people thought of her.
She then went off to make films and television shows.
Her breakthrough role came in "Point of
No Return" which is knock off of the french film
Nikita. But even though she is now very
successful at what she does and her father, Peter Fonda
and the rest of the Fonda family are
happy with her career she still has many insecurities.
She is never
happy with the way she develops her characters and does
not believe that she is
a good actress. She was also offered the role of "Ally
McBeal" but turned it down because she
wanted to focus on films. She is also constantly worried
about making mistakes and maybe that's
why she passed up this great television opportunity.
