Carrie
is the daughter of entertainers Eddie Fisher and Debbie
Reynolds, and was born into Hollywood; even in her earliest
screen tests it is evident that she feels quite at home
in front of a camera. Carrie is best known for her role
as Princess Leia in the epic space-opera “Star Wars”
(made in 1977) and its sequels. She is also famous her
problems with alcohol, drugs, and depression.

Carrie
has come back from the edge to publish her first novel,
Postcards from the Edge”. Thought by many to be
a cult classic, the novel turned out to be a successful
semi-autobiographical tale of a show business mother and
daughter. She later adapted the novel into a screenplay,
which was also considered a success. Carrie continues
to play small roles in prominent feature films.
