Born
in Elling, Jutland (Denmark) though she was raised in
Copenhagen. At a very early age
Connie began training as not only an actress but as a
singer and dancer as well. By the time
she was 15 she began performing with her mother in local
shows. By 18 she had headed off to
Paris to pursue a career in the arts and soon found herself
touring the world. She began making
films in Italy and South Africa before coming to New York
in 1993 to make her English film
debut in a made for TV thriller with Rutger Hauer and
Eric Roberts called Voyage.
Nielsen,
fluent in English, German, Danish, Swedish, Italian
and French, has since found herself
in mainly big-money Hollywood films and spending most
of her time in the U.S.

After
Voyage
she was cast in the big budget (and one of the few Keanu
Reeves films I can stomach) The
Devil's Advocate. Since working with Al Pacino and Keanu
she has gone on to appear opposite
Kurt Russell in Soldier, Russell Crowe in Gladiator and
Bill Murray in the superb Rushmore.
Her next few projects also place her with some well known
names, including Robin Williams
in One Hour Photo, Tommy Lee Jones in The Hunted in 2003
and with John Travolta and Samuel
L. Jackson who reunite in Basic.
