Spending most of her youth in hippie communes, Courtney
is an American original. Interested in music from her
youth, Courtney started to play with bands like “Babes
in Toyland” and “Faith No More”. While
the bands were popular it didn’t really start anything
serious for her. For a brief period during the late 1980s
she appears in several movies, including the punk favourite
“Sid and Nancy”. Courtney continued to stay
below the radar for several more years until things took
a turn for the better (depending on who you ask).
Courtney decided that she would form a band; in 1989 the
band Hole made an appearance and began to make its moves
about its respective industry. IN 1992 Courtney married
the singer Kurt Kobain, driving force behind the “Grunge”
movement. The two made a news worthy pair, and had a daughter.
In 1994 for reasons more or less known Kurt put the barrel
of one of his favourite guns under his chin and blew himself
into rock history.

Following
his death Courtney was left to take care of her daughter
alone, and she released the album “Live Though This”.
In 1996 Courtney gets back into acting, with films like
“People vs. Larry Flynt”, acting alongside
Woody Harrelson.
Love continues to be herself while her dead husband continues
to release albums… OK, his estate (mostly Courtney
and ex-Nirvana members) continues to release records.
The band Hole broke up in 2002, so Courtney keeps herself
in the news by being charged with both drug possession
and disorderly conduct.
