Dale
is most famous as the leading lady of musical Westerns
of the 1940s. While it is true that her career was mostly
in movies, Dale got her start on the radio. One day she
was noticed and signed with Fox and made a few small film
appearances, then was cast as leading lady to rising cowboy
star Roy Rogers. The rest is history.
Dale’s life has seen some real tough moments, including
the loss of three children before adulthood. Despite this
she married Rogers and the two united to become icons
of American pop culture. She and Rogers starred during
the 1950s on the popular TV program bearing his name,
and even after retirement she continued to make occasional
TV appearances
