"I
won't consider myself a star until I've had more
experience. I think the real stars are people
like Streisand, Brando, Dustin Hoffman, Hepburn...
Hepburn is my favourite. She epitomizes to me
what a star should be." |

Born
in the arid state of Arizona, Lynda and other girls her
age got their taste for performing while getting involved
in classical dance and drama throughout her childhood
and teen years. Encouraged by friends and family she enrolled
briefly in Arizona State University; after some time she
felt it wasn’t working so she dropped out and began
to tour the country with her friends and fellow band mates.
But the time the 1970s rolled around Lynda put the music
behind her and began a modeling career. When people stated
to notice her statuesque physique she entered and won
beauty pageants, eventually winning the title of Miss
USA in 1973.

Fortunately
for Lynda Hollywood LOVES fashion models. Lynda studied
acting in New York and began making guest appearances
on such television shows as “Starsky and Hutch”.
After some bit parts and a few false starts Lynda got
the role that she will perhaps always be remembered for:
the role in the 1970s show “Wonder Woman”.
The show originally started out as a special on ABC, but
by 1976 the network had turned it into a series.
Today Lynda lives in Las Vegas with her husband Robert
Altman. She also continues to make guest appearances on
television shows (some referring to “Wonder Woman”,
some not) and appear at comic book and science fiction
conventions (almost all of them referring to Wonder Woman).
