Her
life and fame changed when she was seen by Desi Arnaz,
who decided she was perfect for the role of Ethel Mertz
in his show "I Love Lucy". Vivian accepted and
quickly became a centre piece in American homes and homes
across the world. After the show ended she went away from
show biz for a while and moved to Stamford Connecticut.
She tried several other shows, including an “I Love
Lucy” spin off but it didn’t work out. She
died of cancer in August of 1979.
