Janeane
is a woman famous for hating herself. In the beginning
perhaps she had reason to scowl. Woking first as a bike
courier, then in sales, then as a waitress, then as a
temp, she has worked her way up to vocations like television
and film. While other woman were running off to get modeling
careers so they could pay for their high priced acting
lessons, Janeane was sweating it out on the man-bites-dog-eat-dog
world of sketch comedy.
By 1985 she was doing stand-up shows, and she became a
sort of underground figure who spoke out for her generation.
Working first with Ben Stiller, then with Larry Saunders,
Janeane got a good grounding on how to make millions of
people laugh.

She
often played characters that were more than they appeared:
smart, cynical women with an acidic yet razor sharp wit.
Janeane was even on the famous “Saturday Night Live”,
which has helped generations of comics move into the big
leagues.
Janeane continues to do stand-up comedy, work in film,
make television appearances, and work with other comics.
She is loved by her fans and unlike the superficial beauties
of witless fame, we can be assured to see Janeane’s
beauty for many more years to come.
