She
is the second oldest of six children and the daughter
of a French mother and Irish father.
Rose's family moved to the Western United States from
Europe when she was nine after they
left the religious cult Children of God. Life was not
always easy for the headstrong girl.
After saving money from ood jobs, she ran away at thirteen
for Los Angeles in hopes of
becoming an actress. Rose sometimes found herself sleeping
on the streets, or in nightclubs
after hours, if she was lucky.
Rose landed
a small part in "Encino Man" with Branden
Fraser and later "The Doom Generation,"
which helped expose her to a larger audience and fanbase.
It was the teen thriller "Scream"
where she was crushed by the garage door, that shot
her into the mainstream.
