| SPACE SHUTTLE - The space shuttle is the current workhorse for nasa. It is used for delivery missions to Mir and to assemble the new international space station. It is made of more individual parts then any other vehicle in the history of mankind. Without it the majority of todays space research would not happen. It will continue to stay in operation for many years. The only proposed replacement is the X-33. |
